Greetings from Mexico City. I had this mix all ready a couple weeks ago but then got sloppy with the street food, contracted terrible food poisoning and my son’s forever-cold, so it’s coming out a little late. Great stuff this month! A nice mix of old and new, though a Loudon Wainwright song got axed at the last minute. Sorry, Loudon! Some songs that jump out for me are “Give it Back to Me” by Francis of Delirium and “SeaStar” by Twen. Hell, I like it all.

I attended my first AWP last month, in Kansas City. Had a blast dorking around a new Midwestern city, meeting some great new people, reuniting with friends. I wish we were all excited for things that made money, but alas we’re all freaks tip-tapping out our little stories and verses. I came back reinvigorated to send my novel manuscripts out to some indie presses I admire. Cross your fingers and toes.
